Not frightening, not competently performed, and not that Red Balloon.

This similarly titled short film is an ineffective, predictable mess with one acceptable scare, one poorly judged twist (that ‘reveal’ was followed by a colossal jump to conclusion), and more than a few absolutely redundant reverse-shots that served as an atmosphere-breaking distraction rather than a necessary storytelling device. Also, whoever was responsible for the sound mixing has hopefully sought a different profession.

It’ll appeal to contemporary horror fans who need blaring, irritating noises to accompany the spooky visuals, but will no doubt bore everyone else.
